May 5, 2005 - Light

It appeared yesterday afternoon around 4:30. LIGHT at the end of this
tunnel. I am celebrating ... I finished SHOW SIXTEEN of the tv series
"Journey Into the Amazon".

But take a deep breath, this is only phase one. I will now put together
a highlights reel to shop the project to Discovery, Travel Channel, National
Geographic, PBS ... anyone who might take a look at it.

If anyone has any contacts or connections with any of these networks or
knows a producer who works with them or has other suggestions ... please let
me know. It's always easier if there's someone to connect with, even if it's
six degrees of separation.

Some re-editing will be required, but I would love to get some of this
material on a big television network. FaithTV is airing it - my parents are
watching!

Thanks to those of you who have contributed to this project - you will
be getting the complimentary DVDs when they're out (not sure when) ... and
we still welcome funds for this project - just send that tax-deductible
check to:

I'm still living in the camper trailer at the I-TEC hangar - my view
looks like the Serengeti framed with a little yellow Piper Cub in the
foreground. Steve Saint & family have been good me.

Today, three men from a nearby church stopped by. They had bought the
MISSION DVD from Vision Video this past year, and realized I-TEC was in
their backyard. The pastor said he'd watched the DVD several times and is
planning to show the segments at church. They thought I was a tv star. I
have copies of that DVD, if anyone wants one ... let me know.

Netflix is even carrying MISSION ...

A neat moment this past week ... I saw the movie 'End of the Spear' at a
screening in Orlando. This is the movie I worked on in Panama. It's VERY
GOOD. It was exciting to see it on the big screen - a real honor to have
worked on such a neat project. Very impressive. I can hardly wait for you to
see it.
The movie will be released January, 2006 - the 50th anniversary of the
killings of the missionaries. The plan is to be in 1200 theaters. Mark your
calendars!

The documentary "Beyond the Gates" (the same story as the movie - the
five missionaries killed by the tribe in Ecuador in 1956) will be released
on DVD in October. There is a shorter 45 minute version that is available
for churches and schools to show - there is no cost. "Authorized" staff can
call 800-695-9847. So pass this on to the one in charge.

    Update me on your life.

    Love much, Dianne
